Research
Our research is focused on employing the principles of Green Chemistry using Ionic liquids and Ionic liquid based systems. Our team is currently working on developing Ionic-liquid based heterogeneous and homogeneous catalytic systems for synthesis of various pharmacologically and industrially important organic compounds. We are also working to develop environmentally useful applications of the ionic liquid based systems like the degradation of industrial effluents, biomass conversion etc. Apart from these, we are also exploring the various physicochemical properties of our ionic liquids to find their new applications.
